A Christmas Carol

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Pages 59-99.

Summary: He wakes moments before the arrival of the Ghost of Christmas Past, a strange childlike spirit with a brightly glowing head. The spirit accompanies Scrooge on a journey into the past to previous Christmases from the selfishman's earlier years. Invisible to those he watches, Scrooge revisits his childhood school days, when he studies in school with a cheerful businessman named Fezziwig, and his exgirlfriend named Belle, a woman who leaves Scrooge because his lust for money cover his ability to love another. Scrooge fell into a heavy sleep and regret before the phantom returns him to his bed.

Opinion: When i read this chapter, the appearance of spirit is a little funny. Because the spirit looks like a character in Disneyland. But i don't remember the name. The spirit accompanies Scrooge to go to previous Christmas. He lose his girlfriend due to the fact that he just only pays attention on his work and money. After that, he is really touch. When i studied in high school in Hong Kong, i had a friend looked like Scrooge. One time, i needed him to teach my homework after i failed a lot of tests. However, he always said 'No !' so that i hate that guy so much. And i think this book is good for him to change his behavior.
