In chapter 3,because of Gulliver 's gentleness and good behavior impressed the emperor. The emperor entertained him in a show.He saw a dangrous dance, and many people broke their leg.The emperor reward different thread to difference candidates.The First one got the blue thread,second got the red and the third got the green one.After that, they went to hunt, Gulliver built a stage for the horses. Then two or three days later, he took by some soldiers to the place where they found him. He found his hat.The majesty made him to in trouble.He was Gulliver's mortal enemy.But finally, the emperor endored him to be free. The emperor made conditon to him that is Gulliver was libery forever.

BLACK BEAUTY

Black Beauty and his owner saw a dreadful sight. A man was driving in a carriage pulled by a beautiful pony. After they stopped, the man turned toward them and wrenched the pony's head. And the man nearly threw the pony onto his haunches and began to lash the pony furiously. The pony plunged forward, but he recovered himself, while the whip cut into him. It was a terrible sight. It made the owner of Black Beauty so angry. He said "By behaving like this, you injure your own character as much as you injure your horse. Remember, God will judge us by our conduct - toward all creatures."

It was a so horrible sight. I couldn't understand why he did that. And I wonder that the owner of Black Beauty did only say these above phrases because he was so kind to not only humans but also animals. I thoght he would help the pony by interrupting the man's behavior when I was reading this book. It might be the owner's kindness to the man, but I hoped the owner stop the unpleasant behavior.

Robin Hood Chapter3(page29-41)by Sean

summary: the sheriff who is a friend of Robin Hood,talked to the King, "Robin Hood is not a bad man, because he is very kind to everybody,and the King is so angry to hear about that,because in his opinion, Robin Hood is outlaws, he kills the King's deer, so he take note:everyone in my kingdom will obey my laws. If you can't enforce them , he will find someone else who can.After that,another sheriff think about how to capture Robin Hood. so he want to hold a shooting match, he thinks Robin Hood will join that game to win the gold.but at last,in suprise, one of Robin Hood's friends joins the games and get the gold.
opinion: in this chapter show us that, The King's empowerment is the highest, no one in his kingdom can refuse. and also in this chapter, i think Robin Hood is so clever that not only he get the gold but also he is still freedom. and in the other hand, the King is so subborn, because he just think about Robin Hood is so evil that he kill his deer.i think he should think about Robin Hood always help the poor.

Now, Milo and the watchdog already in Dictionopolis. They meet five odd people who are called The Duck of Definition, The Minister of Meaning, The Count of Connotation, The Earl of Essence and The Undersecretary of Understvoanding. They always say the same word in different ways. They tell Milo that words could be bought in the market. If people want to say this word, they must buy it in market. Then, Milo and Tock go to the market. They meet the spelling bee and a man who is called Humbug in there. They quarrel and fight with each other. Then the policeman comes here. He thinks that everything are just because of Milo and Tock. So he puts them in prison, and Milo meets an old woman who is called Which in the prison. She tells her own story to Milo and Tock.

Now, i feel that i go to another place with Milo and Tock. In Dictionopolis, i can find the wrong grammar everywhere. people don't care if it is wrong. They just use. Actually, i also don't know some vocabularies in here. Same as Milo, i also think i need learn more. If some days i need to use these, i can just use not like people in here. Sometimes, people don't care how to use the words in the right way, maybe just because this, the write feels it is nessary to tell readers if we all use the wrong words. which thing will happen, maybe just like the city.

Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone

page 18-30

Harry has been liveng with Dursleys for ten years. He was woken up by his aunt Petunia. Because the day was Dudley's birthday. So there are also his uncle Vernon and aunt. When he went to kitchin,he saw many Dudley's presents. Every year on Dudley's birthday,they went out without Harry. However,this year,there was a problem,so they took him together to zoo. When they arrived the zoo,they looked big snake. Dudley found the largest snake,he said "move" and his uncle tapped on the glass again and again. But the snake didn't move,so they gave up. Harry talked it,then,it winked! It could undrstand what Harry said. Dudley said to Mr.Dursley Harry talked with the snack. After they came back home,Harry was made to go cupboad without meal. He tried to remember his childhood,but he couldn't remenber his parents. He heard his parents died in car crash. He couldn't this question to Dursleys,because it was rule.

I read chapter two,but it was a little harder than chapter one. Dudleys were so terridle conduct toward Harry. Because they always treated bad. I think the reason which his parents died is not because of car accident. If it's turth,they will answer his question. So I guess,next chapter will show the reason why Dudleys don't tell true reason.

The adventures of TOM SAWYER

On these chapter, Aunt Polly held family workship to pray and Tom must to pray together with Sid and Marry. He try to remember the verses , Marry help him to remember but he couldn't. Finally Tom get the right verses. He didn't want to go to school and church on Sunday so he begins to trade other boys marbles, fish book and ticket.Tom entered the church with a swarm of clean but noisy boys and girls. Tom and his classmate did the restless, noisy and troublesome. Tom trade the ticket for his classmate and then they exchange for each other. Mr Walters , the superintendent teach the lecture about behavior. Some visitor come , after Mr Walter finished his speech , he introduced the visitor are : Judge Thatcher, Jeff Thatcher's Brother and one person speacial is Becky - Jeff thatcher's daughter and also she is Tom's new lover. Tom feels miserable every Monday morning, Tom started to thinking that if he were sick , he could stay at home from school. He try to check his body but he couldn't find any ailment. Suddenly he discover that one of his teeth was loose, And then he think about the plan to say with his aunt about he had loose tooth, He try to make loud moan for his friend- Sid , because he know that Sid will come and talk to aunt about Tom's sick. But finally Tom must to go to school because his aunt doesnt believe him. When he come to school he meet Huckleberry Finn, Tom admire Huck because he is wild and lawness. Huck plays with the dead cat which he claims is good for curing warts. Tom tells him spunk-water is better, as long as you say the proper charm. Huck explains to Tom that you can cure warts with a dead cat by going to the graveyard and saying a spell when a devil comes to take a bad person's spirit. Tom come to class late and the he realize that Becky sits next to an emty seat. Tom comes and seat next to Becky. Tom writes, "I love you" on his slate and shows it to her. Becky feel embarassing , Tom is so happy that he can't concentrate on school.
Tom is a smart boy , he is so glib . Even he did a lot of troublesome but he is a good boy.

Little Women P.48-68 (CH 5 - 6)

sammary : Chapter 5 is about Jo and chapter 6 is about the oldest sister Meg.
In chapter 5, Jo and Meg had a apointment with the guy--Laurie. Amy wanted to go but Jo didn't want to go with her.Jo had a bad temper. She said something that made Amy unhappy. Amy was upset, so she did something bad.She burned Jo's important writing book. Jo was so angry, she would never forgive her. However, one day when Jo and Laurie went to skating, Amy followed them because she wanted to go very badly. Laurie tested the ice.It was dangerous because the weather had been warm. He shouted and said it wasn't saft in the middle. Jo noticed that but Amy didn't. She crashed through the ice. Laurie rescued her immediately. After that, Jo was noticed that she loved her sister very much, and she blamed her dreadful temper.
Chapter 6 is about Meg's friend, Annie Moffat, invited her for a two-week stay.The Moffats were very fashionable but Meg was poor, she didn't have any beautiful dresses. There were a lot parties in Moffats' house. Once Moffats had a big party, the Moffats said they wanted to make Meg be a fine lady, but artually, they were making a fool of her. After that, when she went back home, she told that to her family.At that time, she though 'family is the best'.
Opinion: After I read this book until chapter 6, I noticed that this novel have a massage ''Family is important''. When I read chapter 4 last week, I think it's about the love story.
In Jo case, I discovered that Jo's temper was bad and Amy was a willful child.I think they will change after that event. On the other hand, Meg was so poor because of these girls. Now Meg is my favourite character, but maybe I will change my mind next week.

The invisible man (Ch 5-6) Damian

Summary:

These chapters have gone though Mr. and Mrs. Hall and also other villagers have discovered that the mystery customer in the inn is an “invisible man”, or “head-or-no-head”. No surprisingly, all of them were freaked out by the fact and do not believe what they actually saw. They reported him to the constable and asked him to arrest this evil spirit as his duty. The constable arrived the Coach and Horses Inn and told the invisible man he is under arrested. The invisible thought that is ridiculous for himself to under arrest without doing anything wrong, but invisible. The men then faugh, at the same time, the man was putting out his clothes to make himself “invisible”.

Reflection:

It is understandable to me for how much fear were the villagers suffering and how nonsense is that to the invisible man for being warned without reason. I feel so sad on the invisible man, he must be very lonesome in his heart, as no one would ever try to understand him but only makes him stay away. Probably, this is not the first time to the invisible man on this non-sense situation, because his acts was so calmed and prepared, you can tell it when he held a piece of bread and cheese while the constable arrived the inn.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

[Summary]

Mr.Wonka and the theree childrens and their parents are stopped by The Inventing Room. Mr.Wonka said "Don't touch anything in here." He told everybody this room is most important room in the factory. Even Oompa-Loompa also has ever been allowed in here. Because all the secret of his candies are in here. The place was look like a witch's kitchen. A lot of metal pots were boiling and bubbling, and some strage machines were working in there. And there was one called 'Hair Toffee'. If someone eat that just one tiny bit, him/her hair, moustache, and a beard will start growing out all over the top of him/her's head. Mr.Wonka said he tried it on an Oompa Loompa, and immediately a huge beard started growing on his chin. And in the center of the inventing room, there was a huge machine in there. Mr.Wonka pushed two buttons and it was walking with wired sounds. After the wired sounds the machine made a slice of grey gum. He told everyone this gum is not just a normal gum, it's a chewing gum - meal. The chewing gum - meal is, if you were start chewing it, you can feel the food going down your throuat and into your tummy. And also the taste it is really amazing! This one has tomato soup, roast beef and the blueberry pie tastes. And he told everyone he's not done with this gum, so do not try this. But right after he told them, Violet just started chewing that gum. Mr.Wonka was trying to stop her, but she didn't listen him. Then she turned to violet and bigger and fatter.


[Opinion]

When I reading this chapter, I really wanted go there and see all of the things that Mr.Wonka made. The candies were that he made was perfactly amazing. I have never imagined about the 'Chewing gum - meal'. What a brilliant idea. No washing up, no garbage, no mess, just a little trip of the magic gum. And also I can taste all of food that what I want. And I think something is really wired in this story. I think at the end of this story the kid who left in the factory it will be Charlie. Now in there just have theree kids and thier parents. Because of their stupid action and selfish personality, they got in trouble. Just like Violet. She souldn't take that gum. Even Mr.Wonka told her a lot of time, he didn't finish inventing that, but
she didn't listened him. So stupid.

Because of Winn-Dixie

I have read Chapter 5 and 6. Winne-Dixie couldn't stay alone by himself. When he was alone, he pulled all the cushions off the couch and all the toilet paper off the roll. India and her father, a preacher, tried to tie him up outside with a rope, but he howled until Samuel, their neighbor's dog, started to howl. It was a kind of noise. So India and her father had to take him with them. Even to church. The church used to be a store, so it had mice. A mouse came out while the preacher was preaching. Winne started to catch the mouse. Finally he caught the mouse and took it over to the preacher. They were surprised about the dog that can catch the mouse.

I think a dog catching a mouse is a really interesting thing. I have never seen that before. If I am India, I will love the dog a lot, because he can make me happy. I consider that happiness is the most important thing in our life. When we are happy, we will be happy whatever we do. I guess it will happen more and more interesting things next.

EYES BEHIND THE LINE,---- PAGE:31-41

He remembered about the training days that he had had. he had to staying patrol in the jungle of Vietnam, cold, wet, and turned the pilot light going on. Suddently, the were attacked by ten 112mm rockets , made not much damages on them.
During the day in base, he was so glad to seee Billy Walkabout, who was one of the survivors of the last stupid mission . But his mind, his funny boy had went away. BEcause of being wounded on that mission, perhap more deeply than others.
Gary dreamed of going home, get the way out pf this place of death.
In 24 January, he had a great news when he went to the madics after breakfast. He could become a soldier again and ready for he first mission.


opinion : i think Billy was miresable because of the last mission> he saw the dead, the ways his partner died.

A Christmas Carol

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Pages 33-46.

After Scrooge stopped his work, went to restaurant and ate his dinner. He used the time reading all his newpapers and checking his bankbooks And when all the papers had been read and all the bankbooks checked, Scrooge went home to bed. He lived in the apartment with his partner, Jacob Marley. The front courtyard was dark in the frog and Scrooge entered the gate and walked to the door. By the time he inserted the key in the lock, he saw him from the door...no....it was the face of Jacob Marley. He was scared and get in to the room. When Scrooge stood there, the strange vision became a knocker again. At midnight, he sat on the chair near the fireplace. Suddenly, he listened some noise from the door. And he saw a ghost of his partner. He had a chain around his waist, the strange chain it was made of cash boxes, keys, padlocks, ledger books, and heavy steel purses.

Opinion: The ghost of his partner has a chain around his waist. But i don't understand a little. May be these burdens are causes to affect he died. And i want to know more the ghost of his partner how to change the Scrooge'attitude and don't be stubborn anymore!

In chapter 2 , the author describes their plan for the next Mr.Bingley party . And he talks about Mr.Bennet's daughter , Lizzy , Elizabeth both are want to dance with Bingley in he party and do anything to attract him . Mary is the one keep silent .Lydia is confidently person . Mrs.Long is selfish and hypocritical women . Mr.Long who ll introduce Mr.Bingley's daughter to Mr.Bingley .

I think they're wicked when they have many plans to attain to be Bingley's wife .

Sammary : Jo and Meg have received an invitation to a little holiday dance. In the party, Jo met the Laurence boy---Laurie.When she was talking to him, Meg called her because she had sprained her ankle. One day, Jo saw Laurie at the window.Because he just lived next to her house, so it's not hard to see him. She went to his house and visited him. When she was visiting him, Mr Laurence suddently appeared and talked to her. She was so suprised because Mr Laurence was one of the rich people there.Mr Laurence asked her to eat something and he said she could bring her friends to come there.He was so kind to her.She called her sisters to come here.One day,when Beth came here, she met Mr. Lauence.He said she could use the piano. She was so happy because her house didn't have a piano.They were poor.Actually, it was a wonderful piano that they had never seen.Beth thanks Mr.Laurence a lots.

Opinion: Although this story is not too exciting,it was a smooth story.A story about a warm family. It is not difficult.This book also has some pictures that show me about the story. In the story, In this story, I like Beth.Because of her character and she is so kind and poilet all the time.I don't like Jo.I think she should be shy when she saw the boy who she liked.She is too active. I don't know much about those sister's mother.I want to know more about her.I hope she can be the main character next chapter.

Gulliver's Travels chapter2 p17-28 by Leo

Chapter2 is talk about Gulliver had met the emperor of the country which have many tiny people live in. He had looked around the country.The size just like a garden.Firstly, they though he is a dangerous man. They tired and hurt him. But when he started communicated with them, and became friendly, although they can't find the same languge in a short time. The emperor thought he could help his country, so he took some prisoners to Gulliver's house and want he to killed them.However, he didn't do that.He relived them. The emperor took him to the royal court and judged him. The emperor sent some seachers to find what he had in his pockets.They took many thing in his pockets like some pieces of gold, knife and his journal book.He felt fear that thry might lost his things.

In my opinion, this chapter like in the social city. Everyone afraid of those people are rich and powerful, but also dislike those poor people.Everyone are selfish. Like the emperor, he knows Gulliver is a big help for his country, and took many benifits to him.When Gulliver betraied him .He took all the things.A small story can talk about a problam in our life.

Summary:this summary is talking about a lot of men came to the deep forest, because they also want to hide away from the govement. then these tinkers choose Robin Hood to lead them, they also do something to help the poor, so everybody treat them as heros except the King's. then they caught Robin hood in jail. in the jail, Robin hood found some good friends in the jail,then these tinkers want to follow him too.A few days later, they run away from the jail.and there are a lot of tinkers follow Robin Hood now. All of them live in the deep forest.
opinion: in this chapter, i think Robin Hood will be a good leader, because of Robin Hood 's personality, make a lot of people follow them, and all of them hope to try their best to help other poor guys.i think they are so nice, and also hotheart to help other guys for free. Nowadays,we should learn this personality.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

[Summary]
Charlie Bucket is a young boy who comes from a poor but loving family and would love nothing more than to find a golden ticket to enter the amazing chocolate factory run by inventor and owner Willy Wonka. Fortunally, Charlie finds the last golden ticket and goes on this once in a lifetime adventure with his grandpa Joe. Among the other four winners are Veruca Salt, a spoiled rich girl; Augustus Gloop, a fat kid who stuffs his face with sweets; Violet Beuragarde, a champion of chewing gum; and Mike Teavee, a kid who spends too much time watching TV and playing video games than anything else. Most fascinating is the mysterious Willy Wonka who in turn had a troubled childhood and has a special grand prize at the end for one of the kids. Also along the tour are Wonka's staff the singing, working Oommpa Loompas. At the Wonka’s chocolate factory Charlie and the other kids are saw amazing chocolate world. There was a chocolate waterfall, the Oommpa Loompas are working on the huge chocolate mountain. Also they got on the candy boat that shape in dragon. Except Charlie the other four kids are not really interested in amazing invention from Wonka, just think about how they can be a winner and acting like really selfish and rude.

[Opinion]
I think except Charlie, the other four kids are have some problem with their mental age. They are not interested in the Wonka’s inventions, just want to be a winner. Also acting like really naughty and rude kids. And also the chocolate factory’s owner the Wanka, he doesn’t looks normal person. He has some bad memory about his childhood, so he couldn’t speak the word ‘parents’. I think he’s so wired. Everyone is in the factory trip was so wired for me. The Oommpa Loompas also not very normal. Anyway when I was reading this book, I can imagine about the beautiful chocolate factory, with chocolate mountain, chocolate apple tree, chocolate grasses, with the fantastic color. After I read this part, I really wanted to eat some chocolate. I love this novel.

After Darkie was four years old, his owner sold him. His new master was Squire Gordon. He was also kind to him, and his park was so good. After Darkie moved, he was called "BLACK BEAUTY". There were many horses, and he made a friend who was one of them. Her name was Ginger, and she had moved here just before Black Beauty came. In contrast with the good life of him, she had been spending unhappy life before she moved here. She had been given mush stress by previous master. He had thorwn stones to her and had made her run until he had exhaused her. That's why she couldn't believe the present master. But after she heard Black Beauty had had good owner, she was trying to trust him.

I think that people must not have animals if they don't take care of them. The previous owner of Ginger didn't think about her feeling and health.But there are many people who don't look after their pets and throw away them. I can't believe it! Such people will make his pets bad. The owners who have animals must love and think about them.

After Milo sees a peculiar man, he continues to drive in the road. But when he at a fork in the road, he dosen't listen to the sign. Then after he drives a few miuntes everything become gray and he can't move his car. after listens to some sounds, he notices some small creature everywhere. They tell him there is the Doldrums. They don't let Milo think and laugh because it will against the rule. Milo can't believe it because he doesn't know which thing to do without thinking and driving. But they give their schedule which just include sleeping and dawaling to him and tell him they are so busy. They tell Milo to stay here, Milo doesn't know how to do. Then he meets the watchdog who just see if people waste time. With his help, Milo begin to thinking and moving until they go to another place called Dictionopolis. During this time, Milo knows the watchdog is called Tock and his story.

When i read that people in the Doldrums don't want to think and laugh. I know the write not just want to tell us an interesting story but also want to tell us more about life. As a person, we need to think and do some valuable things not just sleep and dawale. When i look at their schedule, i feels so interesting . Because they do nothing everyday but they still think thay are busy. Maybe just because they have no idea to do something . And when i see the watchdog and listen to his words about time. I begin to know time is so precious. I feel that i waste so much time everyday. haha, maybe when Tock see me, he will be anger with me. Now, it is just the beginning, i am very interested in this book.

The Invisible Man Ch3-4 Damian

Last time, the story was talking about the situation of the invisible man, he is a scientist, and going to have the experiment in the hotel. This time is talking about the worker in the hotel. The hotel keeper can feel something is moving, but they can’t see anything. Not only the hotel keeper, but also the customer too. So they are going to find out what is it. Someone broke in to the scientist’s (the invisible man) room and see what inside the room. He saw a test-tube was holding in the air without anything. After that, he tells all people who are living in the hotel and the hotel keeper. But nobody trusts him. However, one day, the hotel keeper heard some noise in the room, an unnatural voice come from the room, so that they are going to get in the room, and look what is going on.
The book is being scare…..I think I can’t read it at night anymore. If I read it at night, I think I can fall in sleep all night long. But I still feel interesting to read this book in the morning, it make my strain and I can’t stop reading. But anyway, I’m tired now……. So I stop it.

There were Mr.and Mrs.Dursley in number four,Privet Drive.They had a son called Dudley.And also,they had a secret.Mrs.Dursley had a siser Mrs.potter,but she pretended she didn't have a sister.Because she thought Mr.and Mrs Potter was not normal.And also,Mr.and Mrs.potter had a son called Harry.One day,Mr.Dursley went out,then he saw a cat reading map.He felt the strange and mysterious things will happen.However,he tried to forget it.When he went to bakery,he heard crowd was talking about Potters.He was really hate listening the name.One night,one old man called Albus Dumbledore arrived at Privet Drive.And he found the cat.Actually the cat was Professor McGonagall.They were waiting for Hagrid,because he was going to come here with a baby,Harry.They dicided Harry left Dursley family.

I have seen this movie,so I could almost understand easily.But,there were difference between the book and the movie.So I had interest this book!I'll enjoy this book.I think chapter02 will talked about Harry's life in Dursley family.The family will really hate Harry.

It 's about the time when Gary was still in the US camp. He was allowed to rejoin the war and felt very honored about it. During the time he had been in the medic camp, he had received eighty-six letter form his relative and stranger who honored about him and respected to what he had done in the last mission. In 1968, the had a new year eve party,had beer, foods, and a mr Tiger which was hunted by the chopper pilot when they was on the mission way.
In the camp, Gary knew a female soldier, they fell in love and planed to get married.
about the war, he joined it, because he loves his country, he thought he was a patriot, served for his country, for citizen for freedom, but not for WAR.


OPINION : i agree with you that this is an evil war, but he 's just a patriot .
Gary was really a patriot man, fill up honored. Although in war, he also had party, had love, had honor.

Because of Winn-Dixie

I have read chapter 3 and 4 these days. India, the main role in the novel, stared in on Winn-Dixie right away, trying to clean him up. After cleaning, India was talking to him and he listened. India talked about her life and her family. She said that her mother left her when she was 3 years old. She cannot remember anything about her mother, so she decided to ask her father. She asked 10 things about her mother. Her father told her. After that, she wrote the 10 things down and memorized them.

I think India missed her mother a lot after she talked about her mother to Winn-Dixie. India started trying to tell Winn-Dixie all the things , that happened to her. And she will feel happy. This two chapters has some vocabularies for me. I can't understand the story until I looked them up. I guess it will talk about the interesting things that happened to India and Winn-Dixie.

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Pages 13-30.

Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character. He had a office, called "warehouse". It was the afternoon of Christmas Eve and old Scrooge sat busy at work in his office. It was a cold, foggy, bleak day, and Scrooge could hear poeple in the street outside celebrate the Christmas. Suddenly, a voice interrupted Scrooge in the midst of his work. "A Merry Christmas, Uncle!" came a cheerful voice. It was old man Scrooge's nephew. Then " Christmas a humbug" said Scrooge. His nephew wanted to invite him to have Christmas dinner with us tomorrow, but he rejected. After, there are two men wanted to invite him to go their party and donated some money. Opinion: He work the office with a partner. But his partner has died for seven years. Ithink maybe this reason causes him hate the Christmas day. Although many people want to invite him to have a party with them, he also reject, even his nephew. And he said " i don't concern myself with other people's business." He is a really selfish man. Ithink someone will teach him finally.

Pride and Prejudice ( chapter 1 )

In chapter 1 , the author Jane Austen talks about the Bennets family in a town , they heard the new that the man who just moved to near they house is a rich man , he is a single man and he wants to have a wife . His name is Bingley . They try everything to get the rich man to married one of their daughter . I think the Bennets have something under sleeves . And they want to catch the rich man in anyway .

EYES BEHIND THE LINES by GARY A. LINDERER, page1-11

it is about a man who love army and his country. He joined the army at a very young ages, his name is Gary, also the author of this book,he answered the call of country.
After many weeks for traning , finally, he was sent to VietNam by a C-130 to fight for freedom, againt the communism. He be come a marine of US Army and had finished successfully all the mission.But, in the last journey, he was ambushed by the communists, he lost almost his company and injured. In the medic base, he fought the 101th Airborne Division , so he wanted to join this most famous division . Unfortunately, his commander offered him to have a paper-job until he recover the wound.


opinion: after reading few page, i see Gary is a patriot, he wanted to join the War to fight back the communism, give freedom for the world. He has a strong-mind, and capitalism .
I love this character , he gives me more feeling about the army, about the marine.
i want want to like him, become a useful man,.

i am sorry about that, i forget to write my opinion.

opinion: when i read this chapter, i thought Robin Hood is a young man,because he could be infuriated easily by the drunk man , and also i thought he was good at archery, and in my opinion, he didn't have to infuriate by the drunk man, just ingore him,and he could prove that he was a good archer and beat the drunk man in the match. in the other hand, he was a kindhearted man, and always help the poor.

Gulliver's Travels 1-17t by Leo

This story is talk about a man called Gulliver. First it told me about his story when he was young. Because his family was not so rich ,he had a hard study life. He have to travel everywhere.After he finish his study ,he had his business with his former master.Unluckly, his business began to fail. And he wanted to go out to to the sea.But this trip was a horrible trip, he met many troubles, when a sudden storm came ,he lost. After half an hour,he fell asleep.Then he woke up by a light ,he saw many small people.They tied him.They thought he was a dangerous person, but finally he peace to talk with them.And he stared to looked around in this country.

BLACK BEAUTY

It's the story about a horse. Because he was black, he was called "Darkie". When he was a child, he lived happily with his mother and other horses. Their master was a very kind and good man, and all horses liked him.
One day, he saw a terrible scene that he has never forgotten. It was a hunt. Some hounds and men riding on horseback were running after a hare. And one of the dogs caught it. But unfortunately, some horses tumbled during the hunt. They were injured, and one of them broke his leg. So, a man killed him with a gun because he couldn't run any more. And one of the men on horseback was dead, too.

As I wrote an awful summary, the part of this story that I read was little bit terrible. I hope next part is a funny story. And I didn't know that it is a famous story and the movie was made from this story. I want to watch this movie after I read this book. I think that Darkie will grow up spiritually rich.

The adventures of TOM SAWYER

Tom Sawyer is a little boy , he lives with his Aunt Polly and his younger half brother , Sid -a naughty . At the begining of the story , his Aunt Polly is going to give him a punishment because of his troubles . He was fighting with a newcomer boy .His aunt punish Tom , he have to work all day Saturday . Tom feel unpleasant with his job- whitewashing. Tom sees Ben rogers whose Tom hates . Tom continuted his work and doesn't want to pay attention to Ben .Sudently Ben want to do Tom's job because Ben thinks that whitewashing is a fun thing . Then Tom allow Ben to do his job . Finally , he had done all thing because of all boys was whitewashing .After all , he come back and tell her aunt that he has done all thing . She suprised about that.
From this book , i feel interested in this story . Althought a lot of new vocabulary , but this is an interesting story about Tom Sawyer - a smart boy. Morever , from the thing that Tom did , i've learned that work and play just are simple , if we thing that is fun we will do it well .

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

There is very poor boy whose name is Charlie. He lived with he's father, mother, two grandfaters and two grandmothers. They were living in very small wooden house on the dege of a great town. They were so poor. Because he's father was the only one who can makes money. Even they can't really afford their meal. Almost everyday they just can eat some bread and the cabbage soup. Sundays were little bit better.
Charlie was very intersted in CHOCOLATE. Chocolate was the only one he longed for more than anything. But because of his family were poor, he couldn't eat the chocolate when he wants. So when he go to school and when he back to home from school, he always stoped by shop and smelled the chocolate's sweet smells. The only one day of the every year when he can gets the small chocolate bar was his birthday. The whole family saved their money for his birthday present , and when his birthday is coming, they bought a small chocolate bar for him. Then he always kept it really carefully and took that tiny bit. Even he can keep that more than one month.
In the town, there was a very big chocolate factory. It was 'WONKA'S FACTORY'. And it was the most famous chocolate factory in the world. This factory owned by a man called Mr.Willy Wonka. He was the genius about the chocolate. He always made the fantastic chocolate. In taste, shape, and everything.


The author of the book was from British Wales. With the most interesting and fantastic story, the literary critics says he is one of the most brilliant author in the world. Expecially the 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' is the most creative literary work of his books. Why I chose this book is, Roald Dahl is my favorite author. Last quater in my reading and writing class I also read his book. I really like the way he's writing. I think this book is about the interesting stroy. Maybe it will be talk about the Mr.Willy Wonka and the poor boy Charlie. From the cover of the book, I can guess this book is going to talk about the happen in the chocolate factory.
I'm so anxious and expect about the next story.

This book called ''Little Women''.It's written by Louisa May Alcott. I had already read chapter one and two (Page 9-24).It was not really difficult.There had many characters in the story.I think I will like this book after I finish it.
The story is about four sisters in the Match family.The oldest sister called Margaret, she was pretty.The second one is called Jo who was tall and thin,and something of a tomboy.The thrid one is called Beth, she is very shy.The last one is called Amy. Because she was the youngest in the family, so she felt herself to be very important. Their father was a Chaplain.Because of the job, he was always not in the house.They missed their father very much.Their mother was a very kind and nice woman. She always reminded them that they shouldn't spend money on pleasure when some people were suffering in the War. Although they were not rich,they were happy and close family.
At Christmas, they were ready some gifts for their mother.When she arrived at home, she said there was a family who were suffering from hunger and cold . ''Will you give your breakfast as a christmas gift?'' She asked them. Although they were hungry, they said yes.So they went there together.After that, when they came back to their home, they saw a great meal on their table.Because of their kindness, Mr. Laurence gave it to them. He lived next to the Match family.He had a grandson lived with him.The Match sister started talking about his grandson. And Jo interested about the Laurence boy.

This novel title is "The Scarlet Letter"written by Nathniel Hawthorn.He worked as a surveyor for the District of Salem.One day he was nothing to do,so he looked for some information about colonial.Then he found ancient yellow paper which aroused his curiosity,but it was useless.Next he found a letter.It talked about a woman named Hester Prynne.After she read the letter,he was shocked.Because it was talking about jail and punishment.

This story was really hard to understand for me.Because there were many difficult vocabulary.
I think this story is a little scary,so i don't like it... It was talking about jail and punishment.I can't guess what might happen next.

Because of Winn-Dixie

There are twenty-six chapters in this book. I have read the first two chapters of them. The main role is called India Opal Buloni. Her father, the preacher, sent her to a store to buy something to eat. When she walked into the Winn-Dixe grocery store, she saw the manager of the store with a red-face. The manager was shouting because he found a dirty dog in the store. The manager wanted to call the pound. India said that the dog was hers. She called the dog "Winn-Dixie". She took the dog home.

From the story, I know that people need to be kind hearted. Animals are best friends of human beings especially dogs. I like this story because it is easy to understand. This book is not too difficult for me. I guess this book is about something happened between India and the dog, Winn-Dixie.

The Invisible Man (P.1~ P.30) Damian

The Invisible ManI start reading the story which is call The Invisible Man.The story is start from one arrived the hotel in a snowing night, the invisible man go into the hotel. He roll a lot of bandage on his whole face and wear a large-brimmed hat , long black coat covered him from head to foot, and wearing glove.He is a scientist, and doing some chemistry research. He is going to begin the experiment in the hotel, The stranger is extremely reclusive and demands to be left alone, spending most of his time in his room working with a set of chemicals and laboratory apparatus, only venturing out at night. He quickly becomes the talk of the village as he unnerves the locals.
In my opinion, this book is a science fiction story, I am interesting about this type of story, because some of these kind story in leave flesh and blood, it can enlarge me mind and make me think some more. However this story is a little bit scared my, because the invisible man is too imponderable, I can’t guess what will he do and what is going on.

THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH

This story just tell us a story about a boy called Milo who always think everything is so boring. Whenever he does something ,he always wants to do another thing,but when he does something that he wants before , he still thinks that is so boring.
But one day,he gets a strang package that says:FOR MILO ,WHO HAS PLENTY OF TIME.That has a tollbooth and some rules can make him to wherever he want.He trys and then he goes to a new place and finds an oddness man who tells him a lot of things about what happen.Then Milo begins his itinerary.

When i read this book,I find it so interesting and easy to understand.I am interested in this oddness boy.I don't know why he always think everything is boring.But when i read that he gets a big package.I know that he will have a new life.That comes true,he goes to a new place.Sames later it will happen a lot of things.

A Christmas Carol

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Pages 7-12.



Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character. He is a very cold-hearted, selfish man, who doesn't love for Christmas, children, or anything that even provokes happiness. When someone say christmas to him, he will say "Humbug". Nobody ever smiled at him in the streets. Nobody ever asked, "My dear Scrooge, how are you?" Nobody ever offered, "Why don't you visit us?" Also, no man or woman ever came up to him to ask directions. He went though life warning all people to keep away from him!



Opinion:this book makes me a little susprise. Because its my first time to know someone doesn't like christmas. He is selfish and does not help anybody man, he just concentrates to earn more money and rude, everyone was afraid by him, even dog has to avoid him. But i think this guy will change his behaviour.

RobinHood(chapter 1)page 1-page 15

this chapter told us about how RobinHood became an outlaw,first he joined anarchery match , in the match, he grew infuriated because a drunk yeoman had said Robin's bow and arrow are the worst in the world and let him get out from here.then Ronbin Hood wanted to proved that he was a good archer and killed the best of King's deer. finally,he slaped it,and also he transgressed the law to kill the deer,he hid in the forest and became the outlaw.
